What’s included in surgery & dental procedures:
Prior to surgery:
What to expect during surgery:
Upon completion of the surgery & dental procedures, pets will be monitored and kept comfortable until discharged from the clinic. Any procedure that requires sutures to be removed will be done at a follow-up visit approximately 10-14 days after the surgery. Dental extraction sites are closed with sutures that usually dissolve on their own in 2 weeks. Some surgeries may require follow-up laser treatments which can be set up and discussed with your veterinarian and/or technicians.
In spite of the intensive preparation and planning we put into every case, complications can arise. Reactions to anesthesia can be serious or fatal, bleeding can occur anytime an incision is made and infection may occur postoperatively. These complications are very unusual and Edgerton Veterinary Clinic protocols are designed to avoid them. But if complications occur, we will do everything possible to treat your pet. The additional costs of this treatment, if any, will be added to the fee for the procedure you have chosen.
